The APPLY story
The APPLY story began in 2012, when Agnis, working in the IT department of international corporation, realized that bureaucracy and cumbersome processes were stifling innovation.
“I wanted to create a company that I would want to work for. A company where people would come to work every day excited about creating IT solutions,” recalls Agnis.
To make the idea a reality, he approached his brother Valts, who became the first investor and helped purchase the necessary equipment.
“We spent the first few months in the ‘Čili Pica’ café – that was our first office, where we developed mobile applications. I sat there, drank coffee and developed apps,” laughs Agnis.
He was soon joined by a second employee, and shortly after the team had grown to nine developers working on applications, websites and other digital solutions.
But ambitions of APPLY went even further. In its second year of operation, the company began focusing on artificial intelligence and computer vision, anticipating that this technology would be the future of the IT industry.
“We started experimenting, learning, looking for opportunities – and realized that AI was our true path,“ says Agnis. The team intensively researched and developed solutions that soon attracted attention and ensured the company’s rapid growth.
Today, APPLY is the most experienced AI company in Latvia, with a team of 45 people developing and implementing the most advanced solutions to overcome business challenges.
“Our strength is the ability to adapt and create innovative solutions that really work and transform industries,“emphasizes Agnis. Specializing in generative AI integration, computer vision solutions, robotics, mechatronics and microscopy, we offer not only technical expertise but also strategic consulting.

Agnis Jakubovičs Founder and CEO
“My goal has always been not only to grow the company, but to create an environment where innovation happens naturally,” says Agnis. He leads APPLY’s strategic development, finding new business directions and developing technology products. His journey from engineer to CEO of the most experienced AI company is an averment to the fact that with perseverance and a clear vision, it is possible to make a significant significant impact on an industry.
Outside of work, Agnis enjoys reading books and working out.
Valts Jakubovičs Executive Director and Co-owner
“My priority is to ensure that APPLY operates as a fine-tuned mechanism where everything happens efficiently and purposefully,” says Valts. He is responsible for the company’s operational efficiency, financial growth and business development, ensuring that the organization achieves its strategic goals.
In his spare time, Valts composes, produces music. He finds energy and inspiration outdoors, particularly while fishing.
Andis Liepiņš Head AI Architect
“Artificial intelligence is our future, and I am here to help shape it,” says Andis. He leads research projects and actively represents APPLY both in Latvia and internationally.
When Andis isn’t developing new technologies, he heads out on extreme hikes beyond the Arctic Circle – in Iceland, Greenland, and beyond.
Landa Jaunzema Office & HR Management
“It is important to me that people in the company feel valued, heard, and able to grow together with the team,” says Landa. She introduced well-being check-ins at the company because she believes that the most valuable investment is understanding and developing your employees.
On a daily basis, Landa creates an environment where people feel at home, while maintaining a professional, goal-oriented, and results-driven work culture.
Outside of work, Landa is actively interested in a healthy lifestyle and its impact on physical and mental well-being.
Andris Žuravļovs Sales Manager
“I enjoy challenges that require both endurance and the ability to stay focused all the way to the finish line,” says Andris. This is the exact approach he applies to his daily work – managing projects, building partnerships, and helping clients find the most efficient technology solutions for business growth.
Outside of work, Andris is passionate about endurance sports and Spartan Race competitions, which he has been participating in for over 10 years. During this time, he has competed in various countries and race formats, testing both his physical fitness and mental resilience. Sports teach him discipline, perseverance, and the ability to stay calm under pressure – qualities that are just as essential in project management and client relations.
Regīna Kiseļova Head Accountant
“In a company, finance isn’t just about numbers; it’s about trust, precision, and a solid foundation for growth,” says Regīna.
On a daily basis, Regīna takes care of financial accounting, budget control, and cash flow management, helping the team make well-considered and sustainable decisions. She believes that professional financial management provides security for both the company and its people.
Outside of work, Regīna is passionate about choir singing, drawing energy from music and togetherness.
Kristaps Beitiņš Project Manager
“It is important to me that every project not only achieves its goal, but also creates lasting value for people,” says Kristaps. On a daily basis, he coordinates projects, ensures effective communication between teams, and helps clients implement solutions that combine technology with practical business application.
Kristaps is passionate about fishing and spending time with his family. He appreciates the peace of nature, staying active, and spending quality time with his loved ones.
Artūrs Alsiņš IT System Administrator
“Technology should work in a way that allows people to do their jobs seamlessly,” says Artūrs. He oversees the company’s IT infrastructure, system security, and daily technical support, ensuring a stable, well-organized, and efficient work environment for the team.
Outside of work, Artūrs is passionate about coding and exploring new technologies, continually developing his skills through personal projects. This interest helps him maintain a creative approach, analytical mindset, and the ability to find practical solutions even in complex situations.
Elvijs Gulbis SINAPSE Business Developer
“My role is to ensure that SINAPSE evolves both – as a product and as a company,” says Elvijs.
With 25 years of experience in the medical field and related business sectors, he is focused on developing new solutions and expanding into new markets.
Outside of work, he is passionate about off-road motorsports and expeditions.
