Psylo – an AI tool in development to help acute patients receive faster psychiatric care

We’re developing Psylo – a project creating Latvia’s first AI-supported psychiatric triage system – in collaboration with the National Centre for Mental Health (Nacionālais psihiskās veselības centrs).

Currently, patients with mental health concerns see psychiatrists in the order they arrive, regardless of the severity of their condition. This often delays care for high-risk patients and adds extra strain on healthcare professionals.

Through PsyLo, we’re developing an AI-supported system that assesses each patient’s urgency level, helping those with acute needs receive care first. By supporting professionals in prioritizing patients efficiently, we aim to make mental health care faster, safer, and more effective in Latvia.
